# Pika MCP server

Yes. Pika publishes an official MCP server at https://mcp.pika.art/mcp. It's hosted. It offers 50 tools. We last checked it on 19 Oct 2026. MartechDB lists only servers the vendor publishes itself, never community servers.

**Key facts:** As of 19 Oct 2026, Pika's official MCP server scores 65/100 (provisional) on MartechDB's Agent Readiness Index (v1.1). It lists 50 tools.

## Review

Pika's Pika MCP scores 65/100 on MartechDB's Agent Readiness Index: easy to connect an AI agent to, with a few gaps.

The good:

- Hosted by Pika: connect by URL, with nothing to install
- Documented, with 50 tools known

Not checked yet: how you sign in; what agent access costs.

## Agent Readiness Index: 65/100 (provisional)

How friendly Pika is to AI agents, from its best official MCP server. Anything not yet researched scores nothing, so this score may rise once it is. Methodology v1.1: https://martechdb.com/methodology.

- Official MCP server: 30/30 (Published by the vendor)
- Hosted by the vendor: 25/25 (Connect by URL, nothing to install)
- OAuth sign-in: pending (Sign-in: see vendor docs)
- Documented tools: 10/10 (A docs page, and its tools are known)
- Free to start, pay as you go: 0/15 (Not stated by the vendor)

### Tools (50)

As the server lists them on 2026-10-19. Names and descriptions come from the vendor's server.

- `character_creator` (can delete or overwrite): Create a five-view character reference sheet from a photo, a description, or picked traits, and file it as a character in the Library.
- `create_audio` (can delete or overwrite): Generate music, a song with lyrics, or a sound effect from a description, or score a video clip to picture (model pika/pika-audio/pika-soundtrack).
- `create_image` (can delete or overwrite): Generate an image from a prompt, or from a prompt and reference images up to the model's cap; write @image1 in the prompt to point at the first reference.
- `create_speech` (can delete or overwrite): Speak a script aloud with the chosen text-to-speech model and voice, for a voiceover or the audio of a Talking Head Video.
- `create_video` (can delete or overwrite): Generate a video from a prompt, a start frame, or reference images, clips and audio. Model pika animates between image\_url and end\_image\_url. seedance-25 reframes a clip in video\_urls to the target aspect\_ratio, recomposing it with the subjects and action as references (exact timing and on-screen text are not guaranteed); a prompt that extends a clip ('extend @video1 …') continues it at its own aspect ratio, with duration setting the length of the new footage.
- `edit_image` (can delete or overwrite): Edit a photo from instructions, pinned spots and reference images, such as restaging a product photo in a setting from reference\_urls; in instructions @image1 is the photo and @image2 the first of reference\_urls.
- `edit_video` (can delete or overwrite): Edit a source clip in video\_urls from a prompt (model seedance-25 or gemini-omni); the result keeps the clip's timing and framing.
- `podcast_creator` (can delete or overwrite): Render one segment of a video podcast episode with Seedance 2.5 and native audio, from the dialogue you planned for it, with host and guest photos as identity references (text-to-video without photos). Run it once per segment, same continuity\_id, segment\_index 0, 1, …; assemble the segments in order on v1 of a project.
- `product_ad` (can delete or overwrite): Make a product ad from product photos and a screenplay you write: the whole ad, up to 30 s, renders as one Seedance 2.5 take with native music, voiceover and talking characters, and needs no assembly.
- `create_from_preset` (can delete or overwrite): Start one generation from one of Pika's curated presets, filling its slots; omit max\_credits for a price quote.
- `browse_apps` (read-only): The app gallery for the apps view: the apps matching the query (all without one), best match first.
- `get_job` (read-only): Read a job. \`done\` once \`status\` is finished, failed or canceled; a moderation refusal fails with CONTENT\_VIOLATION. A job not done has \`poll\_after\_s\`, the seconds before reading it again. \`preview: true\` returns up to four outputs (videos as thumbnails, when Pika has them) as images you can see: check a likeness or a character's consistency this way instead of opening URLs in a browser. Shows nothing to the user; show\_creations with job\_id does.
- `list_jobs` (read-only): Read the user's jobs as data, newest first, with outputs; shows the user nothing (show\_creations does). Pass \`next\_cursor\` back as \`cursor\` for the next page.
- `show_creations` (read-only): Open the user's Pika library view: recent creations, newest first, or one (finished or running) given \`job\_id\`, to preview, download or pick one to reuse; read the pick with get\_panel. For data only, use list\_jobs. Free.
- `cancel_job` (can delete or overwrite): Cancel a job that is not done. A job canceled before it starts is refunded.
- `prepare_upload`: Use this when you can run a command with internet access where the user's file is (their machine, or your sandbox that has it); for a chat attachment, upload\_file (if offered); otherwise show\_upload. Returns a presigned URL and a curl command: run it there, never pass the bytes as base64 or text, then pass \`media\_url\` in the app's input. \`size\_bytes\` must be exact; the URL expires at \`expires\_at\`.
- `upload_media_bytes`: Upload a file's bytes from the upload view and return its \`media\_url\`. Free.
- `save_upload`: Save an uploaded file to the user's Pika library. Free.
- `show_upload` (read-only): Use this for the user's image, video or audio file that you can't upload yourself with upload\_file (if offered) or prepare\_upload. Shows the user an upload card; read what they uploaded with get\_panel. Not for an app run with show\_presets or create\_from\_preset: its preset form collects the media. Pass each \`media\_url\` as is in an app's input: the app reads the file, so don't open or download it. To use part of it ("the first guy"), say so in the app's prompt or brief. Free.
- `list_apps` (read-only): List Pika's apps as data (id, name, what each makes); shows the user nothing.
- `list_presets` (read-only): List Pika's curated presets for one app (\`pika\`: every themed set), or one of its collections (camera moves, voices), with each preset's slots, as data; shows the user nothing. Where the app's tool takes a \`prompt\`, a look the user describes works instead of a preset.
- `get_preset` (read-only): Read one of Pika's curated presets as data, with its slots and guide; shows the user nothing.
- `list_preset_options` (read-only): List the options one slot takes in one of Pika's curated presets, as data; shows the user nothing.
- `show_apps` (read-only): Show the user the Pika app gallery to pick an app from. Read their pick with get\_panel.
- `show_presets` (read-only): Show the user Pika's curated presets for one app, or one of its collections (e.g. voices), to pick from. \`inputs\` prefill slots you already have, e.g. the user's photo url. Read their pick with get\_panel.
- `show_preset` (read-only): Show the user the form of one of Pika's curated presets, prefilled from \`inputs\` (e.g. the user's photo url), for them to complete and run.
- `save_panel`: Save what the user uploaded or picked in a panel, so the panel restores it and get\_panel reads it. Free. Pass the revision you last saw as expected\_revision so an older copy's late save can't overwrite a newer pick; a stale one fails with REVISION\_CONFLICT carrying the current \`revision\`.
- `get_panel` (read-only): Read what the user uploaded or picked in a Pika card you opened (by its panel\_id), once they say they did; \`status\` is waiting until then.
- `get_view_place` (read-only): Read where the user last was in the Pika view opened from one tool result, and the card's started run and drafts. Free.
- `save_view_place`: Save where the user is in the Pika view opened from one tool result, or the card's started run and drafts, so reopening it returns there. Free.
- `get_account` (read-only): The user's Pika credit balance, saved approval mode (how Pika asks before running) and about (what they make). Read it once early, before the first run.
- `show_settings` (read-only): Use this when the user wants to choose or change how Pika asks before running. Shows their approval mode for them to pick; open no other Pika view in the same turn, since it would replace this one.
- `set_preferences` (can delete or overwrite): Overwrite the user's saved Pika preferences, which decide when runs spend credits without asking. Use this only when the user picks an approval mode, confirms your summary of what they make (about), or asks for a change. Each field you pass replaces the saved value in every conversation; autopilot needs auto\_approve\_credits. Returns all their preferences. Modes: review\_all (Review everything): show each run's app, inputs and price, and wait for a yes. review\_plan (Review the plan): one yes for a plan and its total; its steps then run without asking. autopilot (Autopilot): run without asking when a run costs at most auto\_approve\_credits.
- `search_mentions` (read-only): Search Pika apps and the user's recent creations for the composer's @-mentions.
- `list_projects` (read-only): List the user's projects, newest first; pass \`next\_cursor\` back as \`cursor\`. Shows nothing; show\_projects opens the gallery.
- `show_projects` (read-only): Show the user a gallery of their projects, most recently updated first. They can open one in Pika or pick one to work in; read their pick with get\_panel. With project\_id, open that project's timeline instead.
- `create_project`: Create a project to collect clips for one video. Its timeline starts empty at 1080x1920@30.
- `rename_project`: Rename a project.
- `get_project` (read-only): Read a project as data: its timeline as numbered clips, and the items not yet placed. Shows nothing; show\_projects with project\_id opens its timeline.
- `add_media`: Add an uploaded file (a media\_url from prepare\_upload, upload\_file or the upload card) to a project and the user's Library; returns the \`source\` add\_clips and save\_timeline take. Not for a job's output, already in its project. Free.
- `add_clips`: Place results on the timeline at \`revision\`, in order. v1 clips stay back to back; other lanes use \`at\`. Returns the new numbered timeline.
- `update_clip` (can delete or overwrite): Change one clip at \`revision\`: its source, trim, volume, or place. v1 clips stay back to back; other lanes use \`at\`. Returns the new numbered timeline.
- `remove_clips` (can delete or overwrite): Remove clips from the timeline at \`revision\`; later v1 clips close the gap. Returns the new numbered timeline.
- `update_timeline` (can delete or overwrite): Change the timeline's size, frame rate, or lane volumes at \`revision\`. Returns the new numbered timeline.
- `save_timeline` (can delete or overwrite): Replace the whole timeline at \`expected\_revision\`, keeping each given clip\_id. For the timeline view; the model uses add\_clips, update\_clip, remove\_clips and update\_timeline.
- `export_project`: Render the timeline to an MP4 (free). Uses the current revision unless \`revision\` is given.
- `get_export` (read-only): Read an export's status and \`download\_url\`. \`wait\_s\` waits up to that long for \`done\` (0 reads at once).
- `show_billing` (read-only): Use this when the user wants more Pika credits, is out of credits, or asks about plans or pricing. Shows the Pika plans and credit packs the user can buy, with their balance and current plan; purchases happen in the view through Stripe.
- `start_plan_checkout`: Start a Stripe checkout for a Pika plan from the billing view and return its URL.
- `start_pack_checkout`: Start a Stripe checkout for a Pika credit pack from the billing view and return its URL.
