## Review

Syften's Syften MCP scores 65/100 on MartechDB's Agent Readiness Index: easy to connect an AI agent to, with a few gaps.

The good:

- Hosted by Syften: connect by URL, with nothing to install
- Documented, with 8 tools known

Not checked yet: how you sign in; what agent access costs.

## Agent Readiness Index: 65/100 (provisional)

How friendly Syften is to AI agents, from its best official MCP server. Anything not yet researched scores nothing, so this score may rise once it is. Methodology v1.1: https://martechdb.com/methodology.

- Official MCP server: 30/30 (Published by the vendor)
- Hosted by the vendor: 25/25 (Connect by URL, nothing to install)
- OAuth sign-in: pending (Sign-in: see vendor docs)
- Documented tools: 10/10 (A docs page, and its tools are known)
- Free to start, pay as you go: pending (Not checked yet)

### Tools (8)

As the server lists them on 2026-10-24. Names and descriptions come from the vendor's server.

- `get_monitoring_config` (read-only): Return the authenticated Syften account's monitoring configuration, including plan limits, enabled communities, main filters, Twitter/X filters, YouTube filters, and monitored Slack communities.
- `get_delivery_config` (read-only): Return the authenticated Syften account's alert delivery configuration, including email, Slack, webhook, and RSS status. Secrets and bearer tokens are not returned.
- `get_filter_health` (read-only): Return filter and delivery health diagnostics using Syften's existing linter for main, Twitter/X, and YouTube filters plus delivery configuration checks.
- `get_filter_syntax` (read-only): Return a concise reference for Syften main filter syntax, including supported operators, composition rules, MCP-specific usage notes, examples, and unsupported syntax.
- `preview_filter` (read-only): Search Syften's archive with a proposed main filter. Returns lint diagnostics, approximate archive hit counts, a live-filtered sample of matching public conversations, and quota usage. Pro includes 1,000,000 fetched items per calendar month shared with REST archive searches; items removed by filtering also count. Start with cursor set to an empty string, then pass next\_cursor as cursor to page backward. Continue while next\_cursor is present, even when live filtering leaves an empty items array. Twitter/X and YouTube add-on filters are not included.
- `set_filters` (can delete or overwrite): Replace one or more configured filter sources for the authenticated Syften account. Omitted sources remain unchanged; an empty array clears that source. This changes account configuration and may remove existing filters. Ask for explicit user approval immediately before every call, even if the filters were previously discussed, planned, or previewed.
- `get_matches` (read-only): Return stored Syften matches for the authenticated account, including each match's id and seen status. Fetching does not mark matches seen. Use set\_match\_seen to update their status. By default returns the last 100 matches across all filters and AI verdict states. Optionally select an exact configured account filter, search match content with Syften filter syntax, choose an AI verdict state, and/or set an RFC3339 or relative time range. Start with cursor set to an empty string, then pass next\_cursor as cursor to page backward without skipping matches with identical timestamps.
- `set_match_seen`: Mark one stored match in the authenticated account as seen or unseen. Use the id returned by get\_matches. Returns the id and updated seen status.
