Marketing MCP servers

A marketing MCP server is a connector that lets an AI assistant such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor read data from a marketing tool and take actions inside it, using the open Model Context Protocol (MCP). The official ones are published by the tool's own vendor.

MartechDB lists 1,736 official marketing MCP servers from 1,614 vendors, and checks every one daily to see it's still there. Below: what you can do with them, the best ones for each marketing job, and what to check before you connect one.

How it works

How a marketing MCP server works

01

The vendor publishes a server

A marketing tool such as HubSpot or Semrush publishes an MCP server: a set of tools an AI can call, such as reading campaign results or creating a contact.

02

You add it to your AI client

Add the server's address to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor as a custom connector, or install it on your computer, then sign in with your account for that tool.

03

You ask in plain English

Your AI picks the right tools and calls them with your account's permissions, so it works with live data instead of exports and copy and paste.

Before you connect

What to check before you connect one

Every vendor page on MartechDB answers these for each of its servers.

Is it official?

Community servers are written by third parties, yet they can read and change your data. Use the vendor's own server where there is one. Every server MartechDB lists is official.

Hosted or installed?

1,637 of the 1,736 servers are hosted by the vendor, so you only add an address. The rest run on your own computer from a package.

How do you sign in?

1,078 vendors let your AI client sign in by itself with your account (self-serve OAuth). Others need an API key, or an app you set up with the vendor first.

What can it change?

Some servers only read data. Others can send emails, change ad budgets or publish pages. Check a server's tools, and keep your AI asking before it acts.

Questions

Marketing MCP server questions

What is a marketing MCP server?

A marketing MCP server is a connector that lets an AI assistant such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor read data from a marketing tool and take actions inside it, using the open Model Context Protocol (MCP). The official ones are published by the tool's own vendor. MCP is an open standard that Anthropic introduced in November 2024, and Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other AI clients now support it.

What can I do with a marketing MCP server?

Ask your AI to pull campaign results, research keywords, build a segment, draft an email or update CRM records, in the tool itself, from one conversation. What it can do depends on the tools each vendor's server offers.

Which marketing tools have an official MCP server?

1,614 vendors publish 1,736 official MCP servers between them, as of 6 Oct 2026, including Klaviyo, Semrush, Meta, Hootsuite, HubSpot and Amplitude. MartechDB lists them by category, and only counts servers a vendor publishes itself.

Are marketing MCP servers safe to use?

An MCP server acts with your account's permissions, so it can read, and sometimes change, your marketing data. Use servers the vendor publishes itself rather than community copies, sign in with OAuth where it's offered so you can revoke access later, and keep your AI client asking before it takes actions.

Do I need to install anything?

Usually not. 1,637 of the 1,736 official servers are hosted by the vendor, so you add an address to your AI client and sign in. The rest run on your own computer, from a package your AI client starts.

How do I connect a marketing MCP server to Claude or ChatGPT?

Add the server's address as a custom connector in Claude or ChatGPT, then sign in with your account for that tool. Each vendor's page on MartechDB gives the address, a Claude Code command, an mcp.json config, and one-click install links for Cursor and VS Code.

What's the difference between an MCP server and an API?

An API is built for developers to write code against. An MCP server describes a tool's actions in a way an AI assistant understands, so the AI can choose and call them itself, with no code. Many MCP servers are built on the vendor's API.

Do marketing MCP servers cost extra?

It depends on the vendor. Some include their MCP server on every plan, some only on paid plans, and some charge for use in credits. Each vendor's page on MartechDB shows the terms where the vendor publishes them.

Are marketing MCP servers in the official MCP Registry?

Only some. 428 of the 1,736 official servers MartechDB lists are in the official MCP Registry. We find the rest by checking marketing vendors directly, rather than waiting for them to register.
