Marketing MCP Report Q4 2026
74% of official marketing MCP servers aren't in the official MCP Registry.
We checked 1,732 official MCP servers from 1,610 marketing tool vendors on 2 October 2026. Only 451 are listed in the official MCP Registry, so an AI agent that finds its tools there can't see 1,281 of them.

01
The registry is growing, but not fast enough
Marketing servers in the official MCP Registry grew from 14 in September 2025 to 451 in October 2026. Over the same time vendors shipped 1,732 official servers, so 1,281 are still missing.
Cumulative, by registry publish date. The last month adds listed servers with no publish date.
This is the first edition, so there's no earlier count of servers outside the registry to compare with. We save the figures every month, and next quarter's report will show how the 74% has moved.
02
Hosted servers are the ones the registry misses
94% of official marketing servers are hosted by the vendor: you connect to a web address rather than install a package. The registry started with packages, and that's still mostly what it lists.

1,212 of 1,610 vendors (75%) now host their own server and let you sign in to it with OAuth, using the account you already have. Those servers are the least likely to be in the registry.

Some categories are almost invisible
Categories close to developers are the most likely to be listed. Marketing and back-office categories are the least. A vendor's servers count in every category it belongs to.

How we counted
The figures are a snapshot of MartechDB taken on 2 October 2026. A server counts when the vendor publishes it: hosted on the vendor's own domain, published in the registry under the vendor's name, or linked from the vendor's own documentation. Community-built servers aren't counted.
A server is in the official MCP Registry when the registry lists it under the vendor's name or its address. We found the rest by checking vendors' own domains and documentation, and we check every server every day. 99% responded to their latest checks. How we find and verify servers.
The percentage describes the servers we found, so it can only be as complete as our search. Each vendor's listing shows whether its server is in the registry. Spotted a mistake? Email us and we'll check it against the server and the registry. Every correction we make is listed on Corrections.
