  • search_opportunities

    Search HigherGov opportunities. Default opportunity_type is federal_contract. Choose the most specific opportunity_type unless the user is explicitly asking across multiple markets. Use federal_and_state_local to search federal contract opportunities and state/local opportunities together. Use all only when the user truly wants all opportunity sources, including grants, DIBBS, SBIR, forecasts, and state/local. Always uses current_version=true automatically. For active/open opportunity searches, set active_opportunity=true. For historical research, set active_opportunity=false.

  • get_opportunity_documents

    Get documents and extracted text for an opportunity. Use document_related_key returned by search_opportunities, or provide a document_path returned from an opportunity result. This is the tool to use when the user wants document text, attachments, summaries, or downloadable files.

  • search_federal_contracts

    Search federal prime contract awards. Use keyword for broad searches and award_id for exact award lookups.

  • search_federal_idvs

    Search federal IDV / indefinite delivery vehicle awards. Use keyword for broad searches and award_id for exact lookups.

  • search_awardees

    Search federal awardees/contractors. Best for finding a company's UEI, CAGE code, profile, or basic registration details. Use get_awardee_detail after identifying a specific company.

  • get_awardee_detail

    Get detailed awardee/contractor profile data using the richer awardee profile endpoint. Use after identifying a company by UEI or CAGE code.

  • search_nsn

    Search NATO Stock Number / DIBBS NSN data by NSN, CAGE, part number, or keyword.

  • search_federal_grants

    Search federal prime grant awards. Use keyword for broad searches, award_id for exact award lookup, or cfda_program_number for a specific grant program.

  • search_federal_subcontracts

    Search federal subcontract award data. awardee_uei and awardee_cage_code refer to the subawardee.

  • search_federal_subgrants

    Search federal subgrant award data. awardee_uei and awardee_cage_code refer to the subawardee.

  • search_state_local_awards

    Search state and local government contract awards, not open opportunities. Provide at least one search filter. Use keyword for broad text searches or search_id for a saved HigherGov state/local awards search. Direct UEI and CAGE filters are not supported; use keyword or a known HigherGov awardee_key instead.
